Matthew Watkins is a native Oregonian with roots in a small community near the Oregon coast. Prior to law school, Matthew worked for many years as a building contractor before deciding to go back to school. Matthew earned a B.A. in History from the University of Oregon before going on to law school, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Oregon School of Law. Since graduating, Matthew has represented hundreds of people in criminal cases throughout Oregon.

Matthew is a strong advocate who is passionate about defending constitutional rights. He specializes in criminal defense and firearm rights. In criminal cases, Matthew represents individuals facing a wide range of misdemeanor and felony charges, with a focus on helping individuals navigate the complex court system. Matt believes that everyone deserves a strong defense and he advocates tirelessly to get his clients the best possible outcome in each case. He also has extensive knowledge about expunging criminal history and restoring gun rights.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys studying history, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, exploring the outdoors, and traveling with his wife and two dogs.

Matt is bilingual in Spanish and English and welcomes Spanish speaking clients to his practice.
